Online Registration Begins
The Uttar Pradesh Department of Agriculture has opened a fresh round of subsidised farm‑machinery bookings, running from 12:00 PM on 7 October 2026 through midnight on 20 October. Farmers who meet the eligibility criteria can submit their requests via the department’s dedicated online portal.
Equipment Covered by the Scheme
The initiative focuses on a broad array of modern tools aimed at mechanising Indian agriculture and cutting down manual labour. Principal categories include:
- Machinery banks for collective use
- Custom hiring centres (project costs up to ₹30 lakh)
- Agricultural drones for precision farming
- Standalone farm implements
- Crop‑residue management solutions
- Machinery specialised for maize and millets
- Protective gear for farm workers
Application Procedure
Applicants should visit the department’s website, head to the Kisan Corner, and click on the “Machinery Booking” link. A concise online form follows, where users can select the desired equipment, view the applicable subsidy rates and submit their details. Comprehensive data on each eligible item, subsidy percentages and step‑by‑step guidance are available on the portal.
Assistance and Support
If any issues arise that cannot be solved online, farmers are encouraged to approach the Agriculture Department office in their district. Staff there can offer personalised help and resolve technical queries.
Significance of the Program
By offering financial support for contemporary equipment, Uttar Pradesh aims to speed up mechanisation, boost yields and curb the environmental damage caused by crop‑residue burning. Launching the scheme just before the Dussehra festivities gives growers a timely chance to upgrade their tools before the next sowing cycle.
