Dehradun. To celebrate his birthday on Wednesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid a heartfelt visit to the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD). He spent the afternoon cutting a cake with the students and sharing laughter and encouragement.

The children’s faces lit up at the sight of the chief minister. Dhami chatted with them, praised their talents, and wished each of them a future filled with success. The institute resonated with warmth, camaraderie, and genuine affection.

Speaking about the potential of every child, Dhami emphasized that talent blossoms when the right opportunities, support, and confidence are provided. He reminded the audience that empowering persons with disabilities is a collective duty, not solely a governmental task.

He urged the students to chase their aspirations with self‑belief, perseverance, and steady effort, stressing that society must guarantee equal chances, dignity, and an inclusive environment for all.

The chief minister added that time spent with the children re‑energizes him, describing their affection and bright smiles as the most special gifts he could receive on his birthday.

Accompanying Dhami were his wife, Smt. Geeta Pushkar Dhami, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, and several institute teachers, all of whom joined the celebration.
