New Delhi – Delhi police have taken into custody a 32‑year‑old man following a rape allegation lodged by a 43‑year‑old woman from the Keshav Puram neighbourhood. The suspect, identified as Vikas, lives in Tri Nagar.

The complainant says Vikas invited her to his home claiming he would help her with an eye examination. Once inside, she alleges she was rendered unconscious and subsequently sexually assaulted.

Complaint Leads to FIR

After the woman reported the incident, officers at Keshav Puram police station filed an FIR under the appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code and began a formal investigation. The suspect was then arrested.

Ongoing Investigation

Investigators are currently gathering forensic evidence and interviewing witnesses to piece together the sequence of events. Further legal action will depend on the outcome of this inquiry.

“We are treating the case with the utmost seriousness and will ensure that all procedural steps are followed,” a senior police official said.
