Mumbai: Monday’s box‑office figures slipped across the board, yet Ajay Devgn’s suspenseful sequel Drishyam 3 stayed firmly in the lead. After a thunderous opening weekend, the film added roughly ₹21 crore on its first Monday, nudging its Indian net collection to about ₹197.54 crore.

Drishyam 3 maintains the summit

The film opened on 2 October under the helm of Abhishek Pathak, earning ₹62 crore on day one, ₹53.50 crore on Saturday and ₹61 crore on Sunday. The robust weekend haul left it just a few crores shy of the coveted ₹200‑crore milestone. With three straight days topping the ₹50‑crore mark, it remains the clear front‑runner among current releases. Featuring Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Jaideep Ahlawat, the movie’s net tally has now climbed to ₹197.54 crore.

The Vvan slips below ₹1 crore

Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s The Vvan enjoyed a respectable weekend but stumbled once the workweek began. After a Sunday haul of ₹3.25 crore, Monday’s earnings plunged to ₹95 lakh on its 11th day, bringing the film’s Indian net total to roughly ₹63.05 crore.

Hanuman Ansh suffers a sharp Monday dip

The two‑month‑old Hanuman Ansh continues to add to its impressive sum, yet daily revenues have tumbled dramatically. Sunday’s collection stood at ₹3 crore, while Monday fell to about ₹75 lakh. Despite the slump, the film’s Indian net now hovers near ₹325.48 crore.

Prem Keetanu struggles for momentum

Among the latest arrivals, Prem Keetanu posted a modest performance. The picture opened with ₹50 lakh on Friday, followed by ₹35 lakh on Saturday and ₹28 lakh on Sunday. Monday’s take was a meagre ₹10 lakh, leaving its four‑day total at a modest level. The cast includes Veer Pahariya, Afiya Syed and Aparshakti Khurana.

Overall box‑office snapshot

The fresh numbers highlight a widening gap between the leader and the rest of the slate. While Drishyam 3 edges ever closer to the ₹200‑crore benchmark, both The Vvan and Hanuman Ansh suffered pronounced Monday declines. As weekday earnings become the decisive barometer, the coming days will reveal whether these titles can sustain their theatrical momentum.
