Hyderabad. Police have lodged a murder FIR after the lifeless body of 34‑year‑old bank employee B. Sirisha was found inside a room at the Gokul Pride Hotel in SR Nagar.
Sirisha, a resident of Nagasamudram, Vikarabad district, worked as a customer‑care executive at a local bank. According to investigators, she arrived at the hotel on 24 September accompanied by a man identified as A. Srinivas.
Room booking under false identities
The hotel’s registration log shows that Srinivas entered the name “Ganesh” while Sirisha was recorded as “Durga.” Both were allotted room 10. Police say the pair used alternate names and possibly forged identification documents during the reservation.
Departure and discovery
At approximately 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Srinivas checked out, informing staff that Sirisha would remain for breakfast before leaving later. When the expected checkout never occurred and Sirisha failed to answer calls, hotel personnel grew suspicious and alerted authorities.
Police entered the suite with a master key and discovered Sirisha lying on the bed, showing visible injuries. Preliminary observations suggest she may have been struck with a heavy or sharp object; a curtain rod recovered from the room is being examined as a possible weapon. The definitive cause of death will be confirmed after the post‑mortem report.
Investigation steps
DCP A. Ramana Reddy of Jubilee Hills confirmed that the case is being prosecuted under Section 103(1) of the BNS. Fingerprints and other forensic samples have been collected, and CCTV footage from the hotel is under review to trace Srinivas’s movements.
Special task forces have been assembled to locate Srinivas, whose whereabouts remain unknown. Investigators are also probing the mismatch between the alias “Durga” used at the hotel and Sirisha’s actual name documented in official records.
Possible links to prior incidents
Authorities are looking into a previously reported assault involving Sirisha’s husband to determine if there is any connection to the present case. The search for Srinivas continues, and police are scrutinizing every lead.
