Bhopal: At the CM Youth Conclave‑2026 on Lal Parade Ground, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav declared 2027 the state’s “Youth Empowerment Year.” The vision is to embed young voices in policy‑making, translate their ideas into actionable programmes, and build a thriving ecosystem for learning, employment, entrepreneurship, research and cutting‑edge technology.

Free Coaching for National Competitive Exams Across All Districts

The government will launch complimentary coaching centres for national‑level competitive examinations in every government college throughout the state. By removing the financial barrier of private tuition and the logistical challenge of traveling long distances, students from remote villages will receive an equal opportunity to succeed.

Research Stipends Raised to ₹25,000 per Month

Eligible researchers will see their monthly assistance increase from ₹16,000 to ₹25,000. In addition, a dedicated research‑support fund of ₹1 crore will be created to energise university‑level projects and foster a vibrant academic community.

AI and Advanced Computing Laboratories in Government Colleges

To align student capabilities with future‑proof sectors, AI and advanced computing labs will be set up in government colleges. These hubs will expose learners to emerging technologies, ignite innovative thinking and open pathways to high‑growth careers.

₹5 Crore State‑Level “Idea Fund” for Young Innovators

A fresh ₹5 crore “Idea Fund” will back promising concepts from budding entrepreneurs, encouraging a shift from job‑seeking to job‑creating. The scheme aims to nurture startups that can, in turn, generate employment for others.

Skill‑Development Programme Targeting 100,000 Youth

The state plans to upskill 100,000 young people through vocational training programmes. Strengthened placement cells will link trainees with suitable jobs, ensuring that new skills translate into sustainable livelihoods.

Additional MPPSC Examination Introduced

Beyond the regular annual test, an extra Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) exam will be held next year, giving aspirants another opportunity to secure government positions as part of the Youth Empowerment Year drive.

Expansion of Medical and University Infrastructure

Plans are underway to inaugurate 12 new medical colleges and 12 new universities across Madhya Pradesh. The new institutions will place a strong emphasis on programmes that directly enhance employability.

Enhanced Schemes for Female Students and Working Women

The existing “Gaon Ki Beti” and “Pratibha Kiran” initiatives will be extended to cover postgraduate women scholars. Hostels for working women will also be established in every division, providing safe and convenient accommodation for women entering the workforce.

Comprehensive Push on Jobs, Technology and Entrepreneurship

The conclave brought together representatives from 17 government departments and showcased over 80 exhibition stalls highlighting opportunities in AI, robotics, drones, semiconductors, renewable energy and electric vehicles. A Global Investors Summit is slated for Bhopal next year, targeting sectors capable of large‑scale job creation. Additionally, 500 new National Service Scheme (NSS) units will be launched to stimulate youth participation in community service.

Together, these initiatives weave education, competitive exams, research, technology, skill development, startups and employment into a multi‑sectoral roadmap for Madhya Pradesh’s 2027 Youth Empowerment Year.
