New Delhi: Vidda, Hisense’s premium home‑cinema arm, has introduced its top‑tier Big Eye M2 Pro projector to the Chinese market. Tailored for both film aficionados and serious gamers, the device combines a triple‑colour laser source, an integrated 360° motorised gimbal and a suite of premium specifications that bring theater‑level visuals to any living space without the need for a ceiling mount.
Pricing and Market Roll‑out
The Big Eye M2 Pro is priced at 5,499 yuan in China, with a limited‑time discount that reduces the effective cost to 4,949 yuan. Consumers can immediately order the “Moonlight White” edition, while the “Space Silver” variant is currently available for reservation only. No official launch date or pricing has been announced for India.
4K Imaging and Brightness Capability
At the heart of the projector sits a 0.47‑inch DMD chip paired with Vidda’s proprietary QuaLas42 triple‑laser engine. Together they produce up to 1,800 CVIA lumens, bright enough to fill a well‑lit lounge. The unit supports HDR10+ and HLG, and its glass‑lens optics provide a 1.3× optical zoom with a throw ratio ranging from 1.0:1 to 1.3:1.
To achieve a 100‑inch image, the projector should be positioned roughly 2.2 m from the screen; a 150‑inch picture requires about 3.3 m, depending on room geometry.
Optimised for Gaming
The M2 Pro is engineered with gamers in mind. It can display native 4K content at up to 60 Hz, while dropping to 1080p unlocks a swift 240 Hz refresh rate. An HDMI 2.1 input, MediaTek MT9679 processor and 3 GB of RAM enable Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low‑Latency Mode (ALLM), guaranteeing fluid performance on compatible consoles and PCs.
360° Motorised Gimbal for Hassle‑Free Installation
Unlike traditional projectors that rely on ceiling brackets or external stands, the Big Eye M2 Pro incorporates a motorised gimbal that rotates a full 360°. Users can tilt the device toward the ceiling, floor or any intermediate angle, simplifying placement on tables, shelves or wall‑mounted shelves.
Additional automated tools—autofocus, keystone correction and screen‑alignment assistance—further reduce setup time, allowing the projector to self‑optimise the picture with minimal user input.
Integrated Four‑Speaker Audio
Sound is delivered through a built‑in 20 W four‑speaker array consisting of two full‑range drivers and two tweeters. The audio system is compatible with Dolby Audio and DTS:X, providing an immersive soundtrack that matches the large‑format visual experience.
India Launch Still Pending
For now, the Big Eye M2 Pro is exclusive to China. Vidda has not disclosed a timeline or pricing for an Indian release. Should the brand decide to expand to India, it is expected to publish a dedicated announcement with localized details.
“The 360° gimbal and high‑lumens laser engine make the M2 Pro a true plug‑and‑play cinema solution,” said a Vidda spokesperson.
