A fatal clash in Sadarpur

On a Sunday in Sadarpur, an area patrolled by the Madhuban Bapudham police, 33‑year‑old Renu was discovered lifeless following a violent confrontation with her husband. Investigators have filed a case against the husband, Arun, who remains at large.

Renu’s origins and family life

Renu hailed from Jalalpur village in the Pisawa block of Aligarh. She had been married to Arun, a resident of Sadarpur, for roughly fifteen years, and the pair were parents to two sons, aged 12 and 9.

Relatives allege a history of abuse

Members of Renu’s maternal family assert that Arun frequently turned violent, especially after drinking. They maintain that the couple’s arguments were not isolated incidents, noting numerous prior altercations.

Escalation on the day of tragedy

According to the family, a fresh dispute erupted on Sunday, quickly turning physical. During the scuffle, Arun allegedly placed a video call to Renu’s brother, Rahul Rathi, showing his sister’s injuries and urging him to come and rescue her.

Brother rushes to the scene

After receiving the distressing call, Rahul, accompanied by other relatives, drove to Sadarpur. Upon arrival they found the house locked, and neighbours informed them that Renu had already been taken to a hospital.

Hospital declaration

The family reached the Joint District Hospital in Sanjay Nagar, where doctors examined Renu and pronounced her dead. Preliminary findings point to a severe head injury, allegedly inflicted by a heavy object.

Husband’s disappearance

Renu’s relatives claim that members of Arun’s family left the hospital before the relatives could arrive. After the death, Rahul filed a formal FIR naming Arun and several in‑laws as suspects.

Police response and manhunt

DCP City Dhawal Jaiswal confirmed that investigators are actively tracking Arun. Police have begun tracing his whereabouts and said further legal action will follow once he is located.
