New Delhi. A 17‑year‑old boy was attacked with knives in the Trilokpuri locality of Mayur Vihar, reportedly as retaliation for an earlier dispute. Police have filed an attempted‑murder case and taken three juveniles into custody, while two of the weapons used were recovered. A search operation is still under way for another minor believed to be involved.
Authorities say the distress call came at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, reporting that a teenager had been stabbed in the 30 Block area. Officers from the Mayur Vihar police station arrived promptly, provided first aid, and transported the victim to LBS Hospital.
Because of the seriousness of his injuries, doctors later referred the boy to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for advanced care. The police confirmed that his condition has since stabilised.
Investigations revealed that the victim had a confrontation with another youngster about fifteen days prior, during which the victim and his friends allegedly assaulted the other party. Police believe the lingering animosity prompted the latter and his companions to ambush the teenager and assault him with knives.
Three juveniles have been detained and are being interrogated. Simultaneously, investigative teams are raiding suspected hideouts to locate the fourth alleged participant. The probe remains ongoing to piece together the exact sequence of events and assign responsibility.
